Term 2 Topic and Homework details

Please take a few moments to look at some of our learning from term 1 by following the links below.

Now, here is our homework and topic planner for terms 2 and 3.   We are studying the Romans, and because it’s such a huge topic, we are studying it for 2 terms.  Today, we had a fantastic “WoW” start from a Roman soldier visitor.  Thank you for your all your support with this.

Here are a few of the books we will be sharing with the children during this topic.  Most can be ‘picked up’ from Amazon for the princely price of £2.81, but please do not feel obliged to buy them.

The Electricity Show!

Years 3 and 4 are exploring electricity.  It’s amazing what they need to know these days – atoms, protons, neutrons and electrons; simple and series circuits; conductors and resistors…

Watch our video and see if your child can talk you through it!

Then you could visit one of these informative websites to check if they were right, or find out more information!

FCCE Conker Championships 2016

It is always at this time of year conkers are collected and Mr. Brydon carefully and lovingly prepares in excess of 300 of them for each and every child in school!  The championship doesn’t always default to the more skilful player – luck also plays a part.  This year’s winner was one of our youngest pupils!

End of Term 1 Roundup!

Can it be that Term 1 has already come to an end?  One sixth of our year has passed!

Please take a few moments to celebrate some of the good times shared by children in Frampton Cotterell Church of England Primary School, during their first term in their new class…
